Internship Policy & Eligibility Rules

Version 1.0Effective Date: 22 August 2026

Document Status: Draft — Final Management/Legal Approval Required

Internship scope, eligibility, allocation, conduct, evaluation and completion standards.

1. Purpose

This policy defines internship eligibility, allocation, delivery, conduct, evaluation and certification for Grow Biz Academy students.

2. Internship Commitment

Internship support is included only where stated for the program. An internship is guaranteed only where the applicable signed program documents expressly say so. Internal projects and industry-style simulations must not be described as internships unless they meet the internship structure defined here.

3. Internship Types

  • Grow Biz Internal Internship — supervised practical work within Grow Biz Marketing Agency or another approved Grow Biz operating unit.
  • Partner Internship — internship hosted by an approved external employer/industry partner.
  • Project-Based Internship — time-bound supervised work experience built around defined business deliverables.
  • Industry-Style Project — academic simulation based on a real business scenario; it is a project, not an employer internship.

4. Eligibility

  • Program has internship support in its approved offering.
  • Minimum 75% course attendance and all critical modules completed.
  • Required foundation projects/assignments passed.
  • Fees are current under the approved payment plan.
  • No serious conduct or academic-integrity issue.
  • Student has completed internship-readiness orientation and submitted required profile/documents.

5. Allocation

  • Allocation depends on program fit, student readiness, mentor capacity, partner availability and business requirements.
  • Students may be asked to complete a screening task or interview for partner internships.
  • The Academy may reallocate a student where a partner opportunity is cancelled or unsuitable.
  • Stipend is not guaranteed unless the internship offer expressly states a stipend.

6. Duration and Attendance

  • Typical internship duration: 4-8 weeks, subject to the applicable program or internship offer.
  • Minimum 80% internship attendance is recommended for successful completion unless the offer states another requirement.
  • Students must follow the assigned work schedule, reporting line and attendance process.

7. Student Conduct & Confidentiality

  • Protect client, company and student information.
  • Do not copy, publish or reuse confidential work without permission.
  • Follow mentor instructions, deadlines and professional communication standards.
  • Use only approved accounts, tools and access credentials.
  • Return or delete confidential materials when instructed.

8. Evaluation

  • Attendance & Reliability — attendance log, punctuality, response time.
  • Task Completion — assigned task tracker and deliverables.
  • Quality — mentor/project supervisor review.
  • Communication — updates, teamwork, escalation quality.
  • Professional Conduct — policy compliance and responsibility.

9. Internship Certificate

An internship completion certificate may be issued only after the student satisfies attendance, task, conduct and evaluation requirements. An experience certificate must accurately describe the actual internship arrangement and should not imply employment where none existed.

10. Termination / Reallocation

The Academy or internship host may suspend or terminate an internship for misconduct, non-attendance, data/security violations, repeated non-performance or business reasons. Where practical, the Academy may offer a replacement opportunity, but replacement is subject to program terms and availability.

11. Complaints & Escalation

Internship concerns should first be raised with the assigned mentor/coordinator. Unresolved matters escalate to the Internship Manager and then Academy Head/Director.
